Trip Overview

The Annapurna Circuit is one of the most popular trekking routes in Nepal. It is located around the Annapurna Massif in the Himalayan region. The trek passes through different landscapes such as forests, rivers, valleys, and high mountain areas, as well as many traditional villages where trekkers can see the local culture and lifestyle. The highest point of the trek is Thorong La Pass, which is about 5,416 meters above sea level. Because of its beautiful scenery, cultural diversity, and adventurous trails, the Annapurna Circuit is considered one of the best trekking routes in the Himalayas.

Detailed Itinerary

The journey begins with arrival in Kathmandu. After reaching the hotel, trekkers rest and recover from the long trip. They may also explore nearby areas of the city.

This day is used to prepare for the trek. Trekkers check their equipment, complete final arrangements, and receive a short briefing about the trekking route and safety guidelines.

Trekkers travel by road from Kathmandu to Jagat or Dharapani. The drive passes through hills, rivers, and traditional villages, offering a good introduction to the rural landscape of Nepal.

The trekking journey begins from Dharapani. The trail follows forested paths and rivers before reaching Chame, a small town surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery.

The trail continues through pine forests and narrow valleys. Trekkers enjoy impressive views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks before arriving at Upper Pisang.

The route passes through traditional mountain villages and gradually enters a drier landscape. Manang is a well-known stop for trekkers and offers impressive views of the Annapurna region.

This day is important for adjusting to the higher altitude. Trekkers usually rest or take short hikes around the village to help their bodies adapt to the elevation.

The trek continues toward higher altitude areas. The trail becomes more challenging as trekkers walk through rocky terrain and dramatic mountain landscapes to reach Tilicho Base Camp.

After exploring the base camp area, the trek continues toward Shree Kharka. The route provides excellent views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Trekkers walk through open alpine areas and grazing lands where yaks are often seen. The trail gradually climbs as the altitude increases.

The trail leads to Thorong Phedi, which serves as the base camp for crossing the high mountain pass. Trekkers prepare for the early morning ascent.

This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. Trekkers cross Thorong La Pass, the highest point of the journey, and then descend to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site.

After visiting Muktinath, trekkers travel toward Pokhara. Pokhara is known for its peaceful lakes, beautiful scenery, and relaxing atmosphere.

Trekkers return to Kathmandu by road. After arrival, they can relax, shop, or explore the city.

The journey ends with departure from Kathmandu as trekkers head to the airport for their onward travel.
